3 FOLC Articles in Spring 2026 Edition of Forest & River News

Be sure to check out the Spring 2026 edition of Trees Foundation’s Forest & River News for three articles by Board and staff members of Friends of the Lost Coast!

In Cheryl Lisin’s regular column, Plant Notes, she offers Grass Class, a quick guide to the basics of grass identification – and the general awesomeness of native grasses!

Miss Taylor’s article, “Everyone Can Do Science,” features fun activities, crafts, and mini lessons for naturalists and nature lovers of all ages. In this edition, she shows us how to make a phenology wheel.

The publication also includes FOLC’s annual Bloom Fund report, which details the activities supported through Trees Foundations’ Bloom Fund, which in 2025 included Natural Science Day, coastal stewardship programs, and varied environmental education events in our community.
