FOLC’s 2026 Summer Hike Series In Full Swing
Friends of the Lost Coast’s popular summer hike series returns in 2026 with a mix of interesting topics, fascinating experts, and diverse outings to epic Lost Coast destinations!
- Sunday, May 3 – Neotropical Bird Hike with naturalist/restoration ecologist, Kyle Keegan, at the Fool’s Farm – private land in the Salmon Creek watershed (co-presented with Sanctuary Forest)
- Sun, May 30 – Mill Creek Ecology Hike with native plant experts, Cheryl Lisin, Veronica Yates and Otter Anderson, plus BLM Backcountry Ranger, Kacie Hallahan
- Sun, June 14 – Return to Gilham Butte Hike with local landowner, John Miller, and native plant expert, Cheryl Lisin
- Sun, June 28 – Geology of the King Range Hike with BLM Geologist, Sam Flanagan on North Slide Peak Trail (co-presented with Sanctuary Forest)
- Sun, August 9 – Horse Mountain Creek Trail: Summit to Sea with Blu Graham, owner of Lost Coast Adventure Tours (co-presented with Sanctuary Forest)
- Thurs, August 27 – King Peak Moonlight Hike via Lightning Trail with BLM King Range Manager, Paul Sever
