Join FOLC & BLM on Sunday, March 23 for a late season fungi foray in King Range NCA! Lost Coast Mike, a local fungi enthusiast working to catalogue mushrooms and fungal species of the Lost Coast, will guide us on a field outing (location TBD), followed by a “lab” session at the Lost Coast Education Center where participants will learn about DNA analysis and use microscopes to view collected samples up close. This is a great opportunity to learn about late-season species, ethical foraging, and how you can assist with this cataloguing effort in iNaturalist. 10am to 2pm.
