Earth Day & Coastal Cleanup Celebration
April 22 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Exciting things are in store for Shelter Cove’s Earth Day festivities, expanding our public lands stewardship to include a coastal cleanup event and launching a new Adopt A Beach program in Shelter Cove. This will be one of several varied stewardship projects happening for Earth Day at BLM sites in the Shelter Cove area, including at Mal Coombs Park and Black Sands Beach. Dr. Dawn Goley will also join us to talk about the Stranded Marine Mammal Monitoring Project and how you can get involved as a “citizen scientist,” one of several community science opportunities FOLC will soon have on offer. The event runs from 10a.m. to 2p.m. with more details TBA soon. For more information or to volunteer, email [email protected]
