BLM & FOLC Announce New Marine Debris Reward Sticker

BLM King Range and Friends of the Lost Coast are excited to announce a new marine debris pickup program where you can gather beach trash and trade it in for an exclusive sticker at the King Range Visitor Center!

Created by BLM/SCARF’s Fall 2023 Artist in Residence, Sienna Hawk, these whimsical stickers playfully depict the Punta Gorda lighthouse and elephant seal colony – with text reading, Leave It Better Than You Found It!

Whether backpacking the Lost Coast Trail or just out for a leisurely walk on the coast, if you haul a worthy amount of trash off the beach, you can swap it for this sticker directly at the King Range Visitor Center at 768 Shelter Cove Road in Whitethorn – or by emailing a photo of yourself disposing of your marine debris in a BLM trash receptacle to [email protected]. For more information on the marine debris pickup program, call the BLM King Range office at (707) 986-5400. Thanks for helping keep Lost Coast beaches clean and pristine!
