CA State Parks, Sanctuary Forest, and Friends of the Lost Coast are teaming up on Saturday, April 1 from 10a.m.-1p.m. to remove French broom and other invasive species in Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. Tools and gloves will be provided. Please bring water and a snack, if needed, and wear sturdy shoes and layers. Meet at the Jones Beach trailhead at 10am, parking is limited and carpooling is recommended. Heavy rain will cancel. For more info or to reserve a free volunteer campsite, email [email protected].

Also, thanks to a grant from the CA Coastal Commission’s Whale Tail program, Friends of the Lost Coast is offering five stipend opportunities to local youth, ages 12-16, to participate in this stewardship event.
