Local trail enthusiasts are invited to join Friends of the Lost Coast for a trail stewards workday on Pacific Rim Trail in the King Range on Sunday, April 24 from 10a.m. to 2p.m., weather permitting. Work will consist of trail raking, water bars, and clearing of downed trees above the staircase at the back of the Pacific Rim loop trail. Tools will be provided. The Lost Coast Trail Stewards crew will meet at Pacific Rim Trailhead, just off Shelter Cove Rd. at Bear Creek, an unsigned turn-off approximately 2/10 mile east of the turnoff for Chemise Mountain Rd. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks, water, and gloves, plus dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. This is a great opportunity to meet other trail enthusiasts while also helping maintain/enhance our local trails and assist BLM staff with a backlog of trail maintenance projects.  For more information or to RSVP for the workday, email [email protected].
