Trail Stewards workdays are open to the general public and the next event is Sunday, December 4 from 10a.m. to 2p.m. on the Pacific Rim Trail. Meet 10a.m. at Low Gap Trail on King Peak Rd for the approximately 1+ mile hike to the work site. Work will include brushing, raking, drainage work, and other basic trail maintenance, plus the potential for assisting BLM with repairs on a small footbridge.

And, thanks to a new partnership program between Friends of the Lost Coast and BLM King Range National Conservation Area, a limited number of paid trail internship opportunities are now available to local youth, ages 12-16, to work with Lost Coast Trail Stewards. Up to 4 individual stipends will be available for each Trail Stewards workday, offering $10 per hour. The stipends are available first come, first served. Advance registration is required, but no prior trail experience is necessary.
