Join local astronomer and science educator, Mark Bailey, for Exploring the Night Sky, now rescheduled to Saturday, August 3 at the Lost Coast Education Center in Whitethorn. Presented by Friends of the Lost Coast & BLM King Range, this free event offers an opportunity to learn about the moon, stars and celestial phenomena, with multiple telescopes available for public viewing. The evening also features the unveiling of a 13-inch Dobsonian mount telescope Mark donated to the Lost Coast Education Center. The event runs 8pm to 11pm with desserts and refreshments available.
