Community Beautification Public Lands Day

Join BLM King Range and a slew of community non-profit organizations, including FOLC, to clean up green spaces in Shelter Cove and assist with various public lands projects at Mal Coombs Park on Saturday, September 19. Billed as a Community Beautification Public Lands Day, the event will run from 9am to noon – with free lunch from noon to 1pm – and National Public Lands Day t-shirts for volunteers.
Projects include a Shelter Cove Road and Community Clean-up led by CERT & SCPOA (meet 9am at the RID/Fire Dept site on Shelter Cove Rd) and painting of facilities and trash/recycle bins at Mal Coombs Park and Black Sands Beach, led by BLM King Range (meet 9am at Mal Coombs Park on Lower Pacific Dr.).
Thanks to all agency and non-profit partners for making this event possible, including BLM King Range, Cove Connect, SCARF, CERT, RID, SCFD, FOLC, and SCPOA.
