Baker Creek Restoration & Geology Hike w/ Sam Flanagan & Tasha McKee

July 9, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join Sanctuary Forest & Friends of the Lost Coast on Saturday, July 9, for Water on the Landscape: a Stewardship & Geology Hike. Led by BLM geologist Sam Flanagan, SFI Water Program Director Tasha McKee and SFI board member Cam Thompson, participants will be taken on a tour of the Baker Creek area. Leaders will talk about Sanctuary Forest’s instream restoration projects, the String of Pearls ponds and more, and Sam Flanagan will discuss the local geology and how it applies to streamflow and groundwater storage.

RSVPs are recommended for all hikes as hike dates and details are subject to change. Please meet at the Sanctuary Forest office in Whitethorn at 10am, we’ll caravan from there to our destination; the hike will end at 3pm. This is a slow-moving walk at times, through mostly flat but some uneven terrain. The hike is free of charge, though donations are gladly accepted. For questions or clarifications, contact Anna at [email protected], or call 986-1087 x 9#.
