Tap into your creativity with two free Garden Illustration Workshops led by Jenna Catsos, the illustrator behind Pen+Pine.  The original workshop, from 10 to noon on Sunday, June 2 filled quickly, so a second workshop was just added from 1 to 3pm!!!

During these workshops at the Lost Coast Education Center in Whitethorn, Jenna will teach techniques for drawing with micron pen and colored pencils. She will cover: basic drawing techniques; how to use different lines and textures to achieve the look you are going for; tips for drawing plants on-site in the garden; and how to use composition and framing to elevate your drawing. We will also talk about finding inspiration in our daily lives and establishing a creative practice.

Jenna will provide micron pens, paper, and colored pencils. Participants are encouraged to bring a sketchbook if they have one.

Jenna is a Eureka-based illustrator and garden enthusiast. She has been drawing under the moniker Pen+Pen for almost ten years. Pen+Pine is the marriage of her interests in visual art, education, and the natural world. She loves to draw the plants and flowers in her garden and is excited to share this practice with you.
