SUMMARY:Lost Coast Trail Stewards Workday - Lightning Trail
DESCRIPTION:All trail enthusiasts are invited to join FOLC and BLM for an extended 6-hour Lost Coast Trail Stewards workday on Lightning Trail in the King Range on Sunday\, December 3 from 9am to 3pm\, weather permitting. Work will consist mostly of brushing along the lower mile of the trail\, with return at 3pm. Meet 8:45am at the intersection of King Peak Rd and Shelter Cove Rd. Carpool options available and tools provided.  Please bring your own snacks\, water and gloves\, plus dress in layers and wear sturdy footwear.  A limited number of $10/hr youth stipends are available for ages 12-17. DESCRIPTION:Expanding youth stipend opportunities for stewardship work\, Friends of the Lost Coast is partnering with Redwoods Rural Health Center to improve landscaping at their facility in Redway. The first of four upcoming workdays is Thursday\, December 28 from 10a.m. to 1p.m. The crew will meet in the clinic parking lot\, located at 101 West Coast Rd #B\, at 10a.m. and work will consist of gardening and invasive species removal. $10/hr stipends are available to local youth\, with no experience necessary.
