SUMMARY:Lost Coast Trail Stewards Work Day
DESCRIPTION:Trail Stewards workdays are open to the general public and the next event is Sunday\, December 4 from 10a.m. to 2p.m. on the Pacific Rim Trail. Meet 10a.m. at Low Gap Trail on King Peak Rd for the approximately 1+ mile hike to the work site. Work will include brushing\, raking\, drainage work\, and other basic trail maintenance\, plus the potential for assisting BLM with repairs on a small footbridge. \nAnd\, thanks to a new partnership program between Friends of the Lost Coast and BLM King Range National Conservation Area\, a limited number of paid trail internship opportunities are now available to local youth\, ages 12-16\, to work with Lost Coast Trail Stewards. Up to 4 individual stipends will be available for each Trail Stewards workday\, offering $10 per hour. The stipends are available first come\, first served. Advance registration is required\, but no prior trail experience is necessary. \nEmail justin@lostcoast.org to RSVP\, for more information\, or to register a local youth.
