This Labor Day Weekend event runs 4 days\, September4 thru 7\, and will be held at the Black Sands Beach trailhead\, located at 856 Beach Rd in Shelter Cove. DESCRIPTION:Fall is a perfect time for planting\, so come stock up on native plants for your garden at Friends of the Lost Coast’s Fall Native Plant Sale & Garden Celebration!  We’ll be hosting two fall plant sales this year – on Sundays\, September 20 & October 18  from 10a.m. to 3p.m. The nursery has a wide selection of flowering native annuals\, perennials\, shrubs\, trees and grasses available for donation. Professional Landscape Designer and native plant expert\, Cheryl Lisin\, will be on hand to consult about your planting needs. Family activities\, garden tours\, and refreshments will also be on offer\, along with FOLC merchandise! \nDiscover the Lost Coast Nature Center and celebrate autumn with native plants\, while supporting the environmental education & stewardship programs of Friends of the Lost Coast. Native plants are beautiful\, resilient and many are drought tolerant\, perfect for any garden. DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Lost Coast and BLM King Range invite all for a day of service and fun on National Public Lands Day!  Varied stewardship projects kick off at 10a.m. at Tolkan Campground on King Peak Rd. and the event culminates with free lunch and other volunteer perks at 1:30p.m. National Public Lands Day is the largest volunteer stewardship event of the year\, with service projects happening throughout the U.S. A limited number of $10/hr stipends are available to youth\, ages 12-17.
